I've been investing for over 18 years, starting from when I was 20-years-old. Truth be told, I've made a lot of mistakes in finance throughout the years. I decided I wanted to make informative blogs of all the errors I've encountered and the lessons learned from them.
This blog was specially designed with my kids in mind so when they're older they can benefit from the investing experience I've acquired, both good and bad. But also to share with the world the tips, tricks and advice that have come at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars out of my own pocket.
I decided to make this public so I can use social media as a motivator to update the blog regularly. I'll be able to review my past mistakes, post to people who are interested, and also be reminded to do what I write. I have been documenting my mistakes for a long time now but wasn't consistent enough with it because I had nothing to hold me accountable – I could just delay it for as long as I liked. By making this a public project, I'll be pressured to update it more often with eyes watching. We all have our down days in investing, but I want to show my kids through this blog that life goes on. With each new post you will be able to follow my progress as I established better habits and moved forward in my journey, no matter the situation.
In order to become a great investor, it's important to first learn from those who have invested before you so as not to repeat any mistakes that could cost you. I'm happy to offer my experience and hard-earned expertise with anyone who has a drive for getting good at the game, so it won't take you years to do the same.
What I ask for in return is for you to share your own lessons you've learned during your investing journey. Critique your past trades. Together, through knowledge we can all grow richer, in more ways than one…
